What's a Producer?
Producers are rarely seen. We live in control rooms, remote trucks and writers rooms. It's behind the camera where I decide what goes into a show, how much time we should spend on a topic and what video should play. My producing career began at local TV stations in San Diego, CA (KNSD-TV), Baltimore, MD (WJZ-TV) and Philadelphia, PA (WPVI-TV). I transitioned into sports production when I joined ESPN in 2015 as a segment producer for SportsCenter, ultimately becoming the producer of the 6 p.m. edition of the show. I was part of the producing team that launched SC6 with Michael Smith and Jemele Hill.
In June 2018, I joined Rydholm Projects as a Sr. Producer and launched ‘High Noon’ on ESPN. I am currently Coordinating Producer of High Noon, leading a team of producers in creating a show that's fun, informative and surprising.
When I'm not watching or making TV, I'm an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. I served as Vice President of Broadcast for the Sports Task Force, NABJ’s subgroup representing hundreds of sports journalists around the world.
I'm a proud graduate of the University of Southern California where I studied Broadcast Journalism and International Relations.
Most importantly, I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I am a huge Sixers & Eagles fan. Go Birds!
